The U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the 2017 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance Program on July 14, 2017. The FY2017 NOFA is available at https://www.hudexchange.info/resources/documents/FY-2017-CoC-Program-Competition-NOFA.pdf. Continuum of Care (CoC) collaborative applications must be submitted to HUD no later than September 28, 2017, 7:59:59 p.m. eastern time.
The HUD NOFA sets up the procedure by which a CoC, through its designee, submits a single collaborative application to fund the CoC and eligible projects that advance the CoC goals. The designee, or “Collaborative Applicant,” for the Fayetteville/Cumberland County Continuum of Care (CoC) on Homeless is Cumberland County, North Carolina (through the Community Development Department). The consolidated application that will be submitted by Cumberland County Community Development (CCCD) for the FY2017 CoC Program Grant Competition will include eligible new projects and renewal projects from prior competitions.
The Fayetteville/Cumberland County Continuum of Care is seeking proposals from local providers for new and standard renewal projects that provide housing and services for homeless individuals / families. Project applications must be submitted electronically through HUD’s esnaps system no later than August 28, 2017, 11:59:59 p.m., eastern time.
